# Parameters & Built-in Lists
The lists and parameter values you can only glance at in a video, collected as tables.
# Light-gauge steel stud partition · built-in partition types
| Partition type | Notes |
|---|---|
| 75 | Thin partition |
| 100 | Common partition |
| 150 | Common partition |
| 200 | Thicker partition |
These numbers are the wall thickness **including finishes**, not the runner thickness
Measured: selecting 200 partition produces a 150 runner. Choose the type based on the partition thickness your project actually needs.
# Framing · curtain-wall component types
| Type | Characteristics |
|---|---|
| Timber finish · hung panel | Hanging strip on each panel + backing board + vertical studs on the wall |
| Timber finish · adhesive | Bonded directly to the backing board, no dedicated hanger |
| Stone cladding · adaptive | Claws (ear-type hangers) auto-adjust their length to follow the substrate |
| Stone cladding · 126 minimum spacing | Non-extending, for the thinnest wall builds |
| Aluminium panel cladding | Welded square-tube frame + one clip per panel |
# Ceiling framing · levels and types
| Name | When to use |
|---|---|
| Lower level (下平层) | Always the first layer (also used for a plain flat ceiling) |
| Upper level (上平层) | For stepped/raked designs; must be constrained to the lower level's main runner direction, and aligned to a chosen runner |
| Side board | Perimeter closure |
| Cassette runner | For tight ceiling voids (serrated family, slightly slower to load) |
# Framing · key parameters and defaults
| Parameter | Default / threshold | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Back-brace max extension | 2 m | Beyond 2 m you must add a transfer layer |
| Transfer layer spacing | 1.2 m | Optionally enable "stiffener" to add a longitudinal angle |
| Limit hanger length | Threshold 1.5 m | ≤1.5 m: don't limit, let it extend automatically; >1.5 m: add a transfer layer first |
| Timber panel max spacing | 1200 (vertical grid) | The panel division rule drives runner layout |
| Aluminium panel clip spacing | Example 96 | One clip per panel |
| Stone panel length | Limited | Over-length panels automatically get a reinforcement anchor mid-span |
| Surface fill · arc tolerance | Set to 0.3 | 0.5 exceeds the limit and breaks the plywood layer |
# Family Library · built-in title blocks
A3, A3 extended 1 / extended 2, through A2 and A1 — the common set is included.
# Family Library · profile family naming
The number in a profile family name is the section height (e.g. 350 = 350 high).
# Install / environment · key paths

| addin file (current user, when the plugin doesn't load) | C:\Users\<your user>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\<version year> |
| Directory to inspect for conflicting add-ins | C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins |

# Supported Revit versions
| Capability | Versions |
|---|---|
| Plugin | 2018–2026 |
| Catfish Cloud | 2021–2027 |
Known version issue
The ceiling material elevation annotation text offset is broken on 2018 / 2020. Use another version.
# Naming and data conventions
| Convention | Command |
|---|---|
| Three-segment naming | Info Mount · data mounting (project parameters) |
| Material code | Material · quick material code edit |
| Name audit | Info Mount · name audit |
When adapting families for plugin matching
Parameter names and structure in families such as point symbols are strictly required. When customising, change only the symbol — never the rules or parameters.
# Family Library · hard-finish three-tier taxonomy
| Tier | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Construction part | By location (wall, ceiling, opening, bar counter, fixed furniture, beam/column, display rack…) |
| Family type | The same "door" may be a standard door family, a curtain-panel door family, or a face-based door family — three different family types |
| Grid type | Base families built from fill patterns (staggered, triangular, rectangular, terrazzo, tile…) |
How to use it
Construction part and family type are cross-filters. Pick the location first, then narrow by family type — otherwise you end up with a family that "just won't work" where you dropped it.
